Jacque’s love of handwriting stems from the many handwritten notes and birthday/holiday cards from her mother and grandmothers throughout the years. It wasn’t until her best friend was pregnant with her first child in 2018 that Jacque started to learn the form of calligraphy that she now teaches. Armed with saved calligraphy videos on social media, and the occasional (and confidence boosting) “You have nice handwriting!” compliments over the years, she thought of what to say and, putting (brush) pen to paper, wrote a poem in her newfound language of calligraphy for that special baby, Charlee. After encouragement and support from a dear friend, she pursued the new art passionately. She shared this new love with those she loved, creating works of art to fulfill dreams for weddings, showers and other events.
Jacque was born and raised in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and graduated from the University of Central Oklahoma with a dual degree in Forensic Science and Biology. She moved out into the big world in May 2018 to make Chicago her home. Jacque lives a life of love, intertwining her heart into the fabric of daily life. With an open heart, she embraces charity and thoughtfulness to those she meets along this path. She savors relationships with her loved ones and pours her heart into her art.
