Join us at Cafe Vino Tinto in Safety Harbor, FL for a creative, caffeine fueled morning of seasonal flourishes! Whether you’re looking for a relaxing morning just for you, planning your fall decor, or just a crafty individual who enjoys learning new things, in this workshop you’ll be introduced to modern dip pen calligraphy with a focus on seasonal flourishing instead of letters. We will cover all the basics and prepare you to add those unique inked details to your snail mail, equinox party signage, porch decor, and more. The perfect artsy way to kick off your weekend!

Class includes 1.5 hours of instruction and demonstration, our beginner’s calligraphy kit (two nibs, black ink pot, flourishing guide, tracing paper, and straight pen holder), and all materials to write on. Everything is yours to keep at the end of the workshop!

Feel free to come early, grab your seat inside our private room, and purchase any food or drinks outside at the window (beverages are available to purchase throughout the class, too). Class will start promptly at 11am!

Class Expectations: Yes, lefties are welcome too! This class is encouraged for both someone who has never taken a calligraphy class before AND people with some lettering under their belt. We start with the basics, and our expectation for you is to have ink flowing through your nib with enough confidence to be able to practice way beyond class. We love using tracing paper with our guides to help you build muscle memory and develop your own style!  If you have tried calligraphy out elsewhere before, this class will be a great refresher and hopefully a chance to try some new supplies from our beginner kit that will re-introduce you to this lovely form of art!
