Hi! I am Rebekah, owner and calligrapher of Quill & Ink Studio, based in southern New Hampshire. Even as a little girl, I was always practicing my handwriting; perfecting the penmanship of a future elementary teacher. My official calligraphy journey began in 2017, while I was teaching full time and working on my Master’s in Elementary Education. During this hectic time, I really needed a creative outlet. After practicing on my own, I discovered a local Sip & Script class and fell in love with the art even more. The focus and slowness of calligraphy really helped me because I could tune out the stresses of the world. The stillness is one of my favorite aspects of calligraphy because how often do we get to slow down in life? Eventually I took that love of calligraphy and turned it into a business, so began Quill & Ink Studio. I specialize in custom commission work, personalized home decor, and day of signage for weddings and events. When I don’t have a pen in my hand, you can find me walking my dog, Quill, reading historical fiction, checking out local shops and cafes while traveling, or spending time outdoors hiking/kayaking/biking with my husband.
