Arielle Basha is a creative entrepreneur, calligrapher, and designer based in Atlanta, GA. Arielle never planned on becoming a professional calligrapher; she was studying acting at Pace University when she first started drawing chalkboard menus at a cafe where she waited tables. She started by drawing the seasonal specials at the location she worked, and as her work was noticed by more and more managers across New York she expanded her hobby into a side hustle. By 2014 - only a year and a half after she started - she became the Regional Chalkboard Artist of New York for Le Pain Quotidien and officially opened her lettering business.
Arielle’s mission is to create intentional, elevated lettering work to help brands and businesses connect & communicate with their ideal clients and customers. Through using Instagram to display her work, she was discovered by Sip & Script and was overjoyed when they asked her to join them in spreading the art of pretty lettering through their modern calligraphy workshops. She has now taught over 400 students in Nashville and Atlanta, and hopes to continue to inspire others to be present and live creatively.
