Join Sip & Script^® to Learn Calligraphy at Home!

Join us from home and tune in to our virtual modern calligraphy class! Learn a relaxing new craft and get ready to write pretty letters from your kitchen table. Sweats and wine are welcome! This themed class will include an iced cookie that we will embellish at the end of class and write your name with edible marker. Cookies can be fun table settings for celebrations and a unique way to give your guests (adult and children alike) a special gift.

In this online workshop you’ll be learning an introduction to modern calligraphy with a pointed dip pen and ink. We will cover all the basics and get you ready to add unique lettered details to all of life’s special occasions. Calligraphy is the perfect special touch to your snail mail, wedding paper goods, home decor, gifts and more!

Class includes 1 hour of beginner modern calligraphy instruction, our Modern Calligraphy Kit and demonstration from our talented instructor Aimee. You’ll be able to ask questions throughout the event and connect with other likeminded crafters in a small group setting. Bonus cookie in your kit from your instructor as part of your project. 

This Calligraphy Class Kit includes:

• 1 oz inkwell pot with black ink
• Hunt 101 nib
• Hunt 512 nib
• Straight pen holder
• 1 Modern Calligraphy alphabet guide
• Tracing paper pack
• 1 Place card with your name written by us in calligraphy
• 1 napkin to hold your wine glass
• 1 Heat sealed iced sugar cookie (royal icing) + kit with edible marker  from your instructor as part of your project.

Please be sure to have a small cup of water (for dipping our pen into) and some paper towels close by.

Kits will be mailed out a week or so in advance from the class date. You will receive an email with your Zoom link! We can’t wait to letter with you! Class will start promptly at 7:30 pm EST!

Class Expectations: This class is encouraged for someone who has never taken a calligraphy class before. We teach the basics and our expectation for you is to have ink flowing through your nib with enough confidence to be able to practice way beyond class. We love using tracing paper with our guides to help you build muscle memory and develop your own style!  If you have tried calligraphy out before, this class will be a great refresher and hopefully a chance to try some new supplies from our beginner kit that will re-introduce you to this lovely form of art!
