Join Sip & Script^® for an Evening of Advanced Beginner Calligraphy!

Join us at WeHa Brewing & Roasting in West Hartford, Connecticut for a festive night of spooky fun and modern calligraphy for advanced beginners! This class is for students that have already taken my Beginner Modern Calligraphy course and want to push their skills further!  In this workshop we will be taking a deeper dive into the basics of calligraphy we teach in our beginner classes. If you’ve taken a class of ours before, then this is the perfect “next steps” class! All you need to do is bring your calligraphy pen, nibs and black ink (I will top off your black ink for you in class!!!)

Additionally, in this spooky themed class I will be teaching you how to letter on faux pumpkins at the end of our class time!

Class includes 1.5 hours of instruction and demonstration, our advanced beginner’s calligraphy kit (one new *different* nib from your beginner kit, ink pot, water dropper, colored gouache, letter breakdown, flourishing guide, tracing paper and a special project).  Please remember to bring back your pen, nibs & black ink  from your beginner kit and any other fun inks or calligraphy items you want to try that night. Everything is yours to keep at the end of the workshop. (If you forget your pen I will have some at class available for purchase)

Feel free to come a couple minutes early to check in, grab your seat, and order any food and drinks (food and drinks available to order throughout class too!). Class will start promptly at 6:30 PM! 

Class Expectations: During this class, you will learn new basic drills to help level up your calligraphy, how to mix your own colored ink, the fundamentals of lettering design, and how to connect letters to form your own unique calligraphy style. If you loved our beginner class, then definitely join this intermediate class to wow your family and friends for the holidays with greeting cards and gift tags!

*It is strongly suggested that you take our beginner’s modern calligraphy class before participating in this intermediate workshop. You will need a basic understanding of writing with a calligraphy pen and nib to take this class. As long as you have taken our beginner class, then you are good to go!*
