Join Sip & Script^® for a Morning of Modern Calligraphy!

Join us at Lobos Coffee Roasters, the SoDo location at A La Cart in Orlando, Florida, for an inspiring morning of pretty lettering with the Orlando Chapter of the Women’s Social Club! Whether you’re a stationery nerd, DIY Bride-to-be, or just a crafty individual, this workshop will introduce you to modern calligraphy using a pointed dip pen and ink. We’ll cover all the basics to prepare you to add those unique lettered details to your snail mail, home decor, or future creative projects. It’s the perfect crafty day out!

Class includes 1.5 hours of instruction and demonstration, our beginner’s calligraphy kit (two nibs, black ink pot, 2 letter guides, tracing paper, and a straight pen holder), and all materials to write on. Everything is yours to keep at the end of the workshop!

Feel free to arrive early to grab your seat and place your drink order! (One drink is included with your ticket*—check out the Lobos Coffee Roaster’s menu). Food will also be available for purchase separately. The class will start promptly at 9:30 AM!

Please note: This venue is open-air with full overhead coverage. While you’ll be protected from the elements, be sure to dress for the outdoor temps. This event will take place rain or shine!

Class Expectations: Yes, lefties are welcome too! This class is encouraged for someone who has never taken a calligraphy class before. We teach the basics and our expectation for you is to have ink flowing through your nib with enough confidence to be able to practice way beyond class. We love using tracing paper with our guides to help you build muscle memory and develop your own style! If you have tried calligraphy out before, this class will be a great refresher and hopefully a chance to try some new supplies from our beginner kit that will re-introduce you to this lovely form of art!

A note on bringing guests 16 and under: We love to share this passion with kids. We ask that anyone under the age of 16 be accompanied by a ticketed adult at all times.

PLEASE NOTE: All deposits are non-refundable and must be paid within 5 days of scheduling the event to hold the date.  General refunds will not be provided to private parties. If a host pays for an attendee no longer able to attend, they can either choose to have someone else attend in that student’s place or keep the kit to give to that student the next time they see them.
