Join Sip & ScriptⓇ for Modern Calligraphy Fun!

Join us at E9 Brewing Co. in Tacoma, WA for Mother’s Day themed pretty lettering! Whether you’re a stationery nerd, DIY Bride-to-be, or just a crafty individual, you’ll be introduced to modern calligraphy with a pointed dip pen and ink in this workshop. We will cover all the basics and prepare you to add those unique lettered details to your snail mail, wedding paper goods, home decor, and more! The perfect crafty night out! All are welcome at this class – mothers, soon-to-be moms, pet moms, adoptive mothers, plant moms, or anyone who has a mom!

Class includes 1.5 hours of instruction and demonstration, our beginner’s calligraphy kit (two nibs, black ink pot, 2 letter guides, tracing paper, and straight pen holder), and all materials to write on. Everything is yours to keep at the end of the workshop!

Please plan to arrive 5-10 minutes early to find parking, grab your seat, and purchase any food or drinks (pizza and drinks are available to purchase throughout the class, too! Click here for the pizza menu). Class will start promptly at 6:30pm! 

Class Expectations: Yes, lefties are welcome too! This class is encouraged for someone who has never taken a calligraphy class before. We teach the basics, and our expectation for you is to have ink flowing through your nib with enough confidence to be able to practice way beyond class. We love using tracing paper with our guides to help you build muscle memory and develop your own style!  If you have tried calligraphy out before, this class will be a great refresher and hopefully a chance to try some new supplies from our beginner kit that will re-introduce you to this lovely form of art!

A note on bringing guests 21 and under: While we love to share this passion with kids, E9 Brewing Co. is a 21+ establishment. Please take a look at our other all ages venues!
