Join Sip & Script^® for a Pumpkin Lettering & Calligraphy Workshop!

Join us at The Farmer’s Daughter in South Kingstown, Rhode Island for a festive workshop of spooky fun and pretty lettering for beginners! Whether you’re a stationery nerd, DIY bride- or groom-to-be, or just a crafty individual, this workshop will give you an introduction to modern calligraphy with a pointed dip pen and ink. We will cover all the basics and get you ready to add those special lettered details to your spooky season – think lettered pumpkins at your front door, trick-or-treat bags, as a Halloween party host gift or special occasion gift!

Class includes 1.5 hours of instruction and demonstration, our beginner’s calligraphy kit (two nibs, black ink pot, 2 letter guides, tracing paper, tracing guides, and straight pen holder), and a mimosa from the mimosa bar! Everything is yours to keep at the end of the workshop. Additionally, we will be lettering on mini pumpkins at the end of our class time! Larger pumpkins will be available to purchase before class as well, so feel free to come early and grab your seat, mimosa, and pumpkin!

Feel free to come early, grab your seat, and purchase any food (food and drinks available to purchase throughout class too!). Class will start promptly at 11:00 AM! 

Class Expectations: Yes, lefties are welcome too! Your instructor for this class is a lefty herself, so you’re in good “hands.” This class is encouraged for someone who has never taken a calligraphy class before. We teach the basics and our expectation for you is to have ink flowing through your nib with enough confidence to be able to practice beyond class. We love using tracing paper with our guides to help you build muscle memory and develop your own style!  If you have tried calligraphy before, this class will be a great refresher and offer a chance to try some new supplies from our beginner kit that will re-introduce you to this lovely form of art!

A note on bringing guests 16 and under: We love to share this passion with kids. You are welcome to get a ticket for your child as long as you are comfortable with people around them having a drink or two. We do ask that anyone under the age of 16 is to be accompanied by a ticketed adult at all times.
