Join Sip & ScriptⓇ for a festive afternoon of Friendsgiving-Themed Modern Calligraphy with Place Card Lettering!

Join us at Yeye Jiang Bubble Tea in Pompano Beach, Florida for an afternoon of pretty lettering! Whether you’re a stationery nerd, DIY Bride-to-be, or just a crafty individual, you’ll be introduced to modern calligraphy with a pointed dip pen and ink in this workshop. We will cover all the basics and prepare you to add those unique lettered details to your snail mail, wedding paper goods, home decor, and more! The perfect crafty evening out!

Class includes 90 minutes of instruction and demonstration, our Beginner’s Calligraphy Kit (a straight pen holder, two different nibs, black ink, two letter guides, and tracing paper), plus a bonus “Paper Bar” with themed paper, and all materials to practice writing on. Everything is yours to keep at the end of the workshop! Additionally, we will be creating holiday place cards at the end of our class time – perfect for upcoming Friendsgiving, Thanksgiving or holiday parties!

Class will start promptly at 1:00 PM, though feel free to come 20 minutes early to find parking, grab your seat, and order yummy boba and pastries before, during, and after class. The free parking lot is located behind the Aviara East Pompano apartment buildings. You may enter from either West McNab Road or South Dixie Highway.

Class Expectations: Yes, lefties are welcome too! This class is encouraged for someone who has never taken a calligraphy class before. We teach the basics, and our expectation for you is to have ink flowing through your nib with enough confidence to be able to practice way beyond class. We love using tracing paper with our guides to help you build muscle memory and develop your own style of letterforms!  If you have tried calligraphy out before, this class will be a great refresher and hopefully a chance to try some new supplies from our beginner kit that will re-introduce you to this lovely form of art!

A note on bringing guests aged 16 and under: We love to share this passion with kids. You are welcome to get a ticket for your child if you are comfortable with people around them having a drink or two. We ask that a ticketed adult accompany anyone under the age of 16 at all times.
