Join Sip & Script® for a Morning of Learning Calligraphy!

Join us at Kendra Scott in Novi, MI for mimosas, shopping, and pretty brush lettering. If you’ve always admired beautiful stationery, handwritten signage used at weddings or in home decor, or just love all hand-lettered crafts, this workshop will leave you feeling confident implementing this art form into your events or everyday life! We will cover all the basics and get you ready to add those special lettered details to all your holiday tables with place cards, making special wrapping paper, table signs, bar carts and more! The perfect crafty morning out!

Class includes 1.5 hours of instruction and demonstration, our beginner’s brush lettering kit (watercolor paper, tracing paper, our Brush Lettering Guides Bundle, a black Tombow Brush Marker, a round paintbrush, an inkpot pre-filled with gouache, and a pipette), and all materials to write on.  Everything is yours to keep at the end of the class! Kendra Scott is including complimentary mimosas and snacks for each attendee!

Additionally, we will be creating holiday place cards at the end of our class time!

Remember to come early at 10:00 am for your private, discounted shopping!  Class will start promptly at 10:30am! Kendra Scott Novi is located inside of Twelve Oaks Mall on the second floor near Nordstroms. Parking near the Cheesecake Factory and using the mall entrance is suggested. Please note that the mall is not open at this time and the escalators/elevators may be turned off. 

Class Expectations: Yes, lefties are welcome too! This class is encouraged for someone who has never taken a calligraphy class before. We teach the basics and our expectation for you is to be comfortable with your brush/brush pen with enough confidence to be able to practice way beyond class. We love using tracing paper with our guides to help you build muscle memory and develop your own style!  If you have tried calligraphy out before, this class will be a great refresher and hopefully a chance to try some new supplies from our beginner kit that will re-introduce you to this lovely form of art!

A note on bringing guests 16 and under: We love to share this passion with kids. You are welcome to get a ticket for your child as long as you are comfortable with people around them having a drink or two. We do ask that anyone under the age of 16 is to be accompanied by a ticketed adult at all times.
