Gilmore Girls themed Modern Calligraphy & Pumpkin Lettering for Beginners at Montague Brothers Coffee

Join us at Montague Brothers Coffee in Wildomar, CA for a festive calligraphy workshop filled with fall nostalgia and Gilmore Girls charm! Whether you’re a stationery lover, DIY bride-to-be, or just a cozy creative at heart, this beginner-friendly class will introduce you to modern calligraphy using a pointed dip pen and ink. We will cover all the basics and get you ready to add those special hand-lettered touches to your autumn decor — think pumpkins by your front door, cute bar cart signs, or your very own Dragonfly Inn menu board! 🍂

Class includes 1.5 hours of instruction and demonstration, our beginner’s calligraphy kit (two nibs, black ink pot, 2 letter guides, tracing paper and straight pen holder), and all materials to write on. Everything is yours to keep at the end of the workshop! Additionally, we will be lettering on faux pumpkins at the end of our class time!

Feel free to come early to grab your seat and order any food or drinks before class begins! (Food and drinks will also be available to purchase throughout the class.) Check out Montague’s menu here — they even have a seasonal Gilmore Girls–themed fall menu available through November! Class will start promptly at 2:00 PM, and each participant will receive a complimentary Jackson’s Pumpkin Latte!

Class Expectations: Yes, lefties are welcome too! This class is encouraged for someone who has never taken a calligraphy class before. We teach the basics and our expectation for you is to have ink flowing through your nib with enough confidence to be able to practice way beyond class. We love using tracing paper with our guides to help you build muscle memory and develop your own style!  If you have tried calligraphy out before, this class will be a great refresher and hopefully a chance to try some new supplies from our beginner kit that will re-introduce you to this lovely form of art!

A note on bringing guests 16 and under: We love to share this passion with kids. We do ask that anyone under the age of 16 is to be accompanied by a ticketed adult at all times.
