Cozy Fall Modern Calligraphy for Beginners at Tenth Level Tavern
Join Sip & ScriptⓇ for this special Cozy Fall-Themed Modern Calligraphy!
Join us at Tenth Level Tavern in Oakland Park, Florida for a Sunday afternoon of pretty lettering! Whether you’re a stationery nerd, DIY Bride-to-be, or just a crafty individual, you’ll be introduced to modern calligraphy with a pointed dip pen and ink in this workshop. We will cover all the basics and prepare you to add those unique lettered details to your snail mail, wedding paper goods, home decor, and more!

Class includes 90 minutes of instruction and demonstration, our Beginner’s Calligraphy Kit (a straight pen holder, two different nibs, black ink, two letter guides, and tracing paper), plus a bonus “Paper Bar” with themed paper, and all materials to practice writing on. Everything is yours to keep at the end of the workshop!

Class will start promptly at 2:00 PM, so feel free to come 30 minutes early, find your seat and purchase your drinks at the bar. Parking is free and easy to find. Be sure to request the signature drink Ink & Ember made especially for our class. The purchase of any drink gets you a wristband to game after class until midnight!
Class Expectations: Yes, lefties are welcome too! This class is encouraged for someone who has never taken a calligraphy class before. We teach the basics, and our expectation for you is to have ink flowing through your nib to be able to practice with enough confidence for the following classes and beyond! We love using tracing paper with our guides to help you build muscle memory and develop your own style of letterforms! If you have tried calligraphy out before, this class will be a great refresher and hopefully a chance to try some new supplies from our beginner kit that will re-introduce you to this lovely form of art!
A note on bringing guests aged 18 and up: We love to share this passion with kids, however this venue requires guests to be 18+. You are welcome to get a ticket for your child for a different venue if you are comfortable with people around them having a drink or two.
