Brush Lettering for Friendsgiving at Detroit Fleat

Join Sip & Script® for a Night of Learning Brush Lettering!
Join us at Detroit Fleat in Ferndale, MI for festive night of thankful fun, brews, cocktails, and pretty brush lettering. We will cover all the basics and get you ready to add those special lettered details to your snail mail, wedding paper goods, home decor and more! The perfect crafty night out!
Class includes 1.5 hours of instruction and demonstration, our beginner’s brush lettering kit (watercolor paper, tracing paper, our Brush Lettering Guides Bundle, a Tombow Brush Marker, a round paintbrush, an inkpot pre-filled with gouache, and a pipette), and all materials to write on. Everything is yours to keep at the end of the class! Additionally, we will be creating holiday place cards at the end of our class time!

Get your tickets below!
Feel free to come early to check in, grab your seat, and order any food (food and drinks available to order throughout class too!). Class will start promptly at 6:30PM! Please allow additional time for parking farther away as Detroit Fleat has a small parking lot and you may have to walk further.
Class Expectations: This class is encouraged for someone who has never taken a calligraphy class before. We teach the basics and our expectations for you is to control your brush pen/maker with enough confidence to be able to practice way beyond class. We love using tracing paper with our guides to help you build muscle memory and develop your own style! If you have tried calligraphy or brush lettering out before, this class will be a great refresher and hopefully a chance to try some new supplies from our beginner kit that will re-introduce you into this lovely form of art!
A note on bringing guests 16 and under: We love to share this passion with kids. You are welcome to get a ticket for your child as long as you are comfortable with people around them having a drink or two. We do ask that anyone under the age of 16 is to be accompanied by a ticketed adult at all times.
