Brush Lettering at Indigo and Violet Studio

JOIN SIP & SCRIPT® FOR A MORNING OF LEARNING BRUSH LETTERING!

Join us at  Indigo and Violet Studio* in  Chicago, Il for a mid-morning of pretty brush lettering! If you’ve always admired beautiful stationery, handwritten signage used at weddings or in home decor, or just love all hand-lettered crafts, this workshop will leave you feeling confident implementing this art form into your events or everyday life!

Class includes 1.5 hours of instruction and demonstration, our beginner’s brush lettering kit (watercolor paper, tracing paper, our Brush Lettering Guides Bundle, a  Brush Marker, a round paintbrush, an ink pot pre-filled with gouache, and a pipette), and all materials to write on. Everything is yours to keep at the end of the class!

*Feel free to bring your own drink, come early to check in and grab your seat. Indigo & Violet Studio is a BYOB space. Glasses and corkscrew will be provided.Class will start promptly at 11:05am!

Class Expectations: This class is encouraged for someone who has never taken a calligraphy class before. We teach the basics and our expectation for you is to have ink flowing through your nib with enough confidence to be able to practice way beyond class. We love using tracing paper with our guides to help you build muscle memory and develop your own style!  If you have tried calligraphy out before, this class will be a great refresher and hopefully a chance to try some new supplies from our beginner kit that will re-introduce you to this lovely form of art!
