Beginner’s Modern Calligraphy at Box St. All Day

Join Sip & Script^® for a morning of learning calligraphy!

Please join us at Box St. All Day in San Antonio, Texas for an afternoon of learning how to script beautiful letters, coffee or cocktail in hand! Whether you’re a stationery enthusiast, DIY bride-to-be, or are simply a creative individual, this workshop is perfect for anybody wanting to try their hand at modern calligraphy with a pointed dip pen. We will cover all the basics and get you ready to add those special lettered details to your snail mail, wedding goods, home decor and more. Grab your girls, make it a brunch date, or take yourself out to learn a new skill!

Class includes 1.5 hours of instruction and guidance with Molly Ward Creative, our beginner’s calligraphy kit (two nibs, black ink pot, 2 letter guides, tracing paper and straight pen holder), various paper goods to practice on. Everything is yours to keep at the end of class!

You are welcome to arrive a few minutes early to find your seat and order food and drinks. Class will start promptly at 9:30 AM. Food and drinks also available to order throughout class.

Class Expectations: This class is encouraged for someone who has never taken a calligraphy class before. We teach the basics and our expectation for you is to have ink flowing through your nib with enough confidence to be able to practice way beyond class. We love using tracing paper with our guides to help you build muscle memory and develop your own style!  If you have tried calligraphy out before, this class will be a great refresher and hopefully a chance to try some new supplies from our beginner kit that will re-introduce you to this lovely form of art!
