Join Sip & Script^® for a Night of Learning Calligraphy!

Join us at NOVEL White Fence Farm in Lakewood, Colorado for a festive workshop of thankful fun and pretty lettering for beginners! Whether you’re a stationery nerd, DIY Bride-to-be, or just a crafty individual, in this workshop you’ll be learning an introduction to modern calligraphy with a pointed dip pen and ink. We will cover all the basics and get you ready to add those special lettered details to all your Thanksgiving holiday tables with place cards, menus, food labels, bar carts and more!

Class includes 1.5 hours of instruction and demonstration, our beginner’s calligraphy kit (two nibs, black ink pot, 2 letter guides, tracing paper and straight pen holder), and all materials to write on. Everything is yours to keep at the end of the workshop! Additionally, we will be creating holiday place cards at the end of our class time!

Their one-of-a-kind clubhouse lobby, where the class will be held, is the anchor of the community and the nostalgic White Fence Farm barn which has been carefully transformed and programmed with a hospitality bar, cozy fireplace seating, fitness studio, a gorgeous mezzanine featuring coworking spaces, outdoor firepit lounge and pool deck. The community has a variety of studios, 1- and 2-bedroom apartment homes that have modern finishes and charming details.

Feel free to come early and grab your seat. Light snacks and non-alcoholic refreshments will be provided, but feel free to BYOB if you want to sip on something stronger or want something in particular.  Class will start promptly at 6:30 PM.

Parking is available at the community. Please feel free to park in any open space except for ‘future resident parking’ and ‘EV stations’. We do ask you collect a ‘pass’ at the clubhouse and place it on your car’s dashboard while attending the event so we know you are part of the community.

Class Expectations: Yes, lefties are welcome too! This class is encouraged for someone who has never taken a calligraphy class before. We teach the basics and our expectation for you is to have ink flowing through your nib with enough confidence to be able to practice way beyond class. We love using tracing paper with our guides to help you build muscle memory and develop your own style!  If you have tried calligraphy out before, this class will be a great refresher and hopefully a chance to try some new supplies from our beginner kit that will re-introduce you to this lovely form of art!

A note on bringing guests 16 and under: We love to share this passion with kids. You are welcome to get a ticket for your child as long as you are comfortable with people around them having a drink or two. We do ask that anyone under the age of 16 is to be accompanied by a ticketed adult at all times.
