Brews and Brush Lettering at South Austin Beer Garden

Join Sip & Script® for a Night of Learning Brush Lettering!

Join us at South Austin Beer Garden in Austin, Texas for a night of brews, hops, and pretty brush lettering!

If you’ve always admired beautiful stationery, handwritten signage used at weddings or in home decor, or just love all hand-lettered crafts, this workshop will leave you feeling confident to implement this art form into your own events or everyday life! This event will be held outdoors under a covered patio.

Class includes 1.5 hours of instruction and demonstration, our beginner’s brush lettering kit (tracing paper, our Brush Lettering Guides Bundle, 2 Tombow Brush Markers, a round paintbrush, an inkpot pre-filled with gouache, and a pipette) and all materials to write on. Everything is yours to keep at the end of the night!

You’ll also have the opportunity to work on a *special Father’s Day Project/Gift included as a take-home gift!* If you don’t have a dad figure in your life to make a gift for, you can always create this as a decor piece for yourself or to gift to your favorite recently graduated high school senior or college student!

*Feel free to come early to check-in, grab your seat, and order drinks at the bar & food from the new on-site taco truck (available to order throughout class too)! Class will start promptly at 7:00pm!

Class Expectations: This class is encouraged for someone who has never taken a calligraphy or brush lettering class before. We teach the basics and our expectations for you is to have enough confidence with using a brush pen or paint brush to be able to practice way beyond class. We love using tracing paper with our guides to help you build muscle memory and develop your own style!  If you have tried calligraphy or brush lettering out before, this class will be a great refresher and hopefully a chance to try some new supplies from our beginner kit that will re-introduce you into this lovely form of art!
