Howdy! My name is Michelle and I recently moved to the Bay Area after 27 years in Austin Texas. I currently work full-time as a manager at a tech company. In my free time, I play badminton and dabble in other kinds of arts & crafts.

I purchased an ink and nib set from Barnes & Noble around 2013 and experimented with writing letters to friends like people did back in the 1800s. I then moved to calligraphy soon after and haven’t looked back since! I have taken classes in a wide variety of different scripts with broad-edge nibs (Foundational, Roman, Uncial, Gothic, Italic) and pointed-pen nib (Copperplate, Spencerian, and Modern), and love the beauty across all types of hands.

While I don’t mind doing calligraphy for family and friends, my passion lies more in teaching so I’m able to increase appreciation for this type of art to more people.
