Originally from Colombia, my formal education was in Graphic Design. My studies carried me to live and work in places like Santiago, Chile, and Buenos Aires, Argentina. Eventually ending up in San Francisco, California, where I spent several years working as a graphic designer for Toyota and Apple. While living in SF (in 2010), I took my first calligraphy class with Friends of Calligraphy and I absolutely loved it!

I was surprised and impressed by the amount of time that it takes to learn, to practice, and to create — truly a labor of love.

As long as I can remember, I’ve had a passion for all things handmade. By combining my love of handwritten stationery with my experience as a graphic designer, I’ve opened Claudia Strenger – Calligraphy & Stationery.
