This class is for anyone who's never picked up a pen. We teach the basics, and our hope is you leave with ink flowing through your nib and the confidence to keep practicing. Tried it before? It's a great refresher with new supplies from our beginner kit.
Left-handed? You're very welcome. This class is designed with lefties in mind — we teach you to get ink flowing through your nib with confidence, whatever hand you use.
All students under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a ticketed adult to our classes.
PLEASE NOTE: Some of our classes are held at 21+ establishments, so please read the class description before purchasing.
We recommend arriving 5-10 minutes before the start time to settle in. Seating is first come, first served within the venue.

Kristen first took a calligraphy class as a freshman in high school and immediately fell in love. She rekindled her creative flame in 2015 while working on hand lettered items for her wedding. In 2018, she took a Sip & Script class in Portsmouth and knew it was something she wanted to work on with the hopes of teaching classes herself someday. She continued practicing after class, and launched an Instagram account to share her work before joining as an instructor in January 2020. Since joining the squad, she has expanded her offerings to include engraving, hot foiling and pyrography. When she's not writing, she's cheering on the Bruins, chasing her four year-old twins around, and exploring new breweries with her family, including her chocolate lab, Maple. She'll never pass up an iced coffee (iykyk) and enjoys curling up with a good book or an embroidery project when life allows.
