This class is for anyone who's never picked up a pen. We teach the basics, and our hope is you leave with ink flowing through your nib and the confidence to keep practicing. Tried it before? It's a great refresher with new supplies from our beginner kit.

Left-handed? You're very welcome. This class is designed with lefties in mind — we teach you to get ink flowing through your nib with confidence, whatever hand you use.

All students under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a ticketed adult to our classes.

PLEASE NOTE: Some of our classes are held at 21+ establishments, so please read the class description before purchasing.

We recommend arriving 5-10 minutes before the start time to settle in. Seating is first come, first served within the venue.

Sher Pierre

Hi, there! My name is Sher Pierre and I am a former schoolteacher turned professional calligrapher. I have been in love with letters as soon as I learned to write. However, my appreciation for pretty letters deepened once I learned cursive in the third grade. I became obsessed with copying and creating different fonts. I remember days when I would just sit and write my name in different sizes and styles.

I discovered calligraphy in 2015. I bought a few starter kits and would practice sporadically. In 2017, I started an Instagram page to document my calligraphy journey and by 2020, family and friends started to take note and ask me to do different projects such as signage, envelopes, place cards, personalized gifts, etc. In 2022, I decided to level up from hobbyist to business owner.

At this point, I have my own calligraphy business and am so excited to have a career that is both fulfilling, fun, and inspirational!
