This class is for anyone who's never picked up a pen. We teach the basics, and our hope is you leave with ink flowing through your nib and the confidence to keep practicing. Tried it before? It's a great refresher with new supplies from our beginner kit.

Left-handed? You're very welcome. This class is designed with lefties in mind — we teach you to get ink flowing through your nib with confidence, whatever hand you use.

All students under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a ticketed adult to our classes.

PLEASE NOTE: Some of our classes are held at 21+ establishments, so please read the class description before purchasing.

We recommend arriving 5-10 minutes before the start time to settle in. Seating is first come, first served within the venue.

Hi! I'm Alicia and I'm a full time wedding stationery designer and calligrapher plus a full time mom. My story started when I instantly fell in love with calligraphy in 2017 as I taught myself how to do envelope calligraphy for my wedding. Shortly after that I decided to start Proof & Parchment so I could do calligraphy and hand lettering all the time.

Fast forward to now, I currently live in Pittsburgh and am fully immersed in the world of wedding stationery and calligraphy, I get to help couples tell their love stories through exquisite invitations, menus, and more. It’s a joyful privilege to be a part of their special day, and I love what I do so much that I am now adding teaching calligraphy to my business. I can't wait to meet tons of new people in my classes and share my love of calligraphy. See you soon!
