This class is for anyone who's never picked up a pen. We teach the basics, and our hope is you leave with ink flowing through your nib and the confidence to keep practicing. Tried it before? It's a great refresher with new supplies from our beginner kit.
Left-handed? You're very welcome. This class is designed with lefties in mind — we teach you to get ink flowing through your nib with confidence, whatever hand you use.
All students under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a ticketed adult to our classes.
PLEASE NOTE: Some of our classes are held at 21+ establishments, so please read the class description before purchasing.
We recommend arriving 5-10 minutes before the start time to settle in. Seating is first come, first served within the venue.

Hi! My name is Ann Catherine Warta, owner of AC Events and Calligraphy. I am a Nashville native and played collegiate golf at Belmont University, class of 2021. I am an Event Director at a local country club, and calligraphy is my creative outlet, turned side-hustle. Working in events gives me the opportunity to keep up with trends and use my creativity daily! I began faux calligraphy (thank you, Sharpie pens) in 2019 making gift bags for all my friends and family. In 2022, I took my first Sip & Script class where I learned the true art of calligraphy and fell in love with it. Becoming a Sip & Sript instructor has truly come full circle for me. Custom gift bags are still one of my favorite items to create as well as gift tags, acrylic signs for weddings, and unique place cards! I can’t wait to meet you!
