This class is for anyone who's never picked up a pen. We teach the basics, and our hope is you leave with ink flowing through your nib and the confidence to keep practicing. Tried it before? It's a great refresher with new supplies from our beginner kit.
Left-handed? You're very welcome. This class is designed with lefties in mind — we teach you to get ink flowing through your nib with confidence, whatever hand you use.
All students under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a ticketed adult to our classes.
PLEASE NOTE: Some of our classes are held at 21+ establishments, so please read the class description before purchasing.
We recommend arriving 5-10 minutes before the start time to settle in. Seating is first come, first served within the venue.

Hi! I'm Katie and I live in Providence, RI with my husband Sean and our cat Rome. I've always been "the girl with nice handwriting" and growing up I took art classes instead of playing sports. I started teaching myself calligraphy for my wedding and fell in love with it as both a hobby and a form of therapy. After receiving multiple orders from family and friends, I took a leap of faith and decided to turn it into a side hustle. I specialize in hand lettered items for weddings, showers and events, as well as home decor and custom gifts. My favorite part of running my calligraphy business is putting a smile on others' faces when they receive my creations. Outside of KMB Calligraphy, I work full-time as an accountant and I'm an ambassador for an online fitness program. I love drinking coffee, going for walks and trying the newest bars and restaurants in my city. Can't wait to meet, greet and teach you all!
