This class is for anyone who's never picked up a pen. We teach the basics, and our hope is you leave with ink flowing through your nib and the confidence to keep practicing. Tried it before? It's a great refresher with new supplies from our beginner kit.
Left-handed? You're very welcome. This class is designed with lefties in mind — we teach you to get ink flowing through your nib with confidence, whatever hand you use.
All students under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a ticketed adult to our classes.
PLEASE NOTE: Some of our classes are held at 21+ establishments, so please read the class description before purchasing.
We recommend arriving 5-10 minutes before the start time to settle in. Seating is first come, first served within the venue.

Hello and welcome! I’m Tabatha, creator of Artistry in Script serving Maryland, Washington, DC and Virginia. I started my calligraphy journey back in 2018 and fell in love reconnecting with the joy of taking pen to paper and playing with various font styles. While the busyness of life has pulled me away from calligraphy from time to time, it’s a love I continue to come back to and so I’m excited to spread the beauty of the art with you as you embark on your creative journey with calligraphy through Sip & Script. Outside of the calligraphy world, you can find me at an Irish Dance class preparing for my next competition, binge watching any 90 Day Fiance spin off, or trying to catch flights to see more beautiful corners of the world with my partner. I can’t wait to meet you at our next event!
