This class is for anyone who's never picked up a pen. We teach the basics, and our hope is you leave with ink flowing through your nib and the confidence to keep practicing. Tried it before? It's a great refresher with new supplies from our beginner kit.
Left-handed? You're very welcome. This class is designed with lefties in mind — we teach you to get ink flowing through your nib with confidence, whatever hand you use.
All students under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a ticketed adult to our classes.
PLEASE NOTE: Some of our classes are held at 21+ establishments, so please read the class description before purchasing.
We recommend arriving 5-10 minutes before the start time to settle in. Seating is first come, first served within the venue.

Hi! I’m Elizabeth, the face of Jenesequa Inks. I am based in the south suburbs of Chicago, IL. My obsession with pretty lettering and calligraphy started when I was in grade school. I have since been a lover of all things stationery, gel pens and doodling. I attended my first Sip & Script class in 2018 and was immediately hooked! From that moment, I knew I also wanted to become a calligraphy instructor. After years of toying with the idea, my brother’s wedding was the boost I needed. I could not wait to personalize his place cards. Practicing calligraphy has taught me the art of slowing down while also giving me the ability to create something aesthetically pleasing. It is also a beautiful distraction from my everyday career of being in law enforcement. When I am not writing, you can find me spending time with my two daughters, our bunny Cashmere and traveling. I am beyond excited to be part of the Sip & Script family and cannot wait to share my love of calligraphy with you!
