This class is for anyone who's never picked up a pen. We teach the basics, and our hope is you leave with ink flowing through your nib and the confidence to keep practicing. Tried it before? It's a great refresher with new supplies from our beginner kit.

Left-handed? You're very welcome. This class is designed with lefties in mind — we teach you to get ink flowing through your nib with confidence, whatever hand you use.

All students under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a ticketed adult to our classes.

PLEASE NOTE: Some of our classes are held at 21+ establishments, so please read the class description before purchasing.

We recommend arriving 5-10 minutes before the start time to settle in. Seating is first come, first served within the venue.

Melissa is a calligraphy writer, sign maker, and a proud mom to her sweet one-year-old daughter, Emma Belle. Her love for creating beautiful things through writing began back in grade school, where she first fell in love with cursive. What started as a fun hobby has grown into a heartfelt way to help make life’s special moments even more meaningful—whether through a custom wedding sign or, more recently, by teaching others the art of hand lettering. What excites her most is turning people’s fascination with watching calligraphy into something even beginners can create and feel confident exploring!
