Hi Everyone!  I'm Jennifer and I am the founder and creator of Designs by Jhenn, based in the Owens Cross Roads/Huntsville, Alabama area. Calligraphy came about in 2016 when I needed a different outlet. I was pretty much hooked after taking a calligraphy course which taught me proper technique and how to take my art to the next level. A few months later, I learned how to watercolor paint and combined it with my love of calligraphy. What started out as a hobby, has now flourished into my creative, calligraphy art business.  I specialize in combining my calligraphy with my watercolor paintings on paper, canvas and greeting cards. What I love about this art is just the process of creating all those letters and words with pen + ink + paper and seeing what I come up with each time... and getting a little messy (ink blobs, inky fingertips!) makes it even more fun and awesome too! Outside of the calligraphy art world… I love to dance and create original choreography for my Zumba classes, listen to lots of music, vacations with my family, hanging out with my besties (virtually and in person), a little bit of hiking/walking and getting some relaxation with yoga or bingeing on Netflix. I am so excited to be a part of the Sip & Script Squad and can't wait to see you in class!
