Brush Lettering for Beginners at Life In The Craft Room

Join Sip & Script® for an Afternoon of Brush Lettering!
Join us at Life in the Craft Room in Farmington Hills, Michigan for afternoon of watercolors, markers and pretty letters! If you’ve always admired beautiful stationery, handwritten signage used at weddings or in home decor, or just love all hand-lettered crafts, this workshop will leave you feeling confident implementing this art form into your events or everyday life!
Class includes 1.5 hours of instruction by Suki Liu of Signed By Suki, our beginner’s brush lettering kit (watercolor paper, tracing paper our Brush Lettering Guides Bundle, a Black Tombow Brush Marker, a round paintbrush, an inkpot pre-filled with gouache, and a pipette) and all materials to write on. Everything is yours to keep at the end of the class.
Feel free to come in early to check in and grab your seat. Class will start promptly at 1:00pm!

Class Expectations: This class is encouraged for someone who has never taken a brush lettering class before. We teach the basics and our expectations for you is to have ink/paint flowing through your pen with enough confidence to be able to practice way beyond class. We love using tracing paper with our guides to help you build muscle memory and develop your own style! If you have tried calligraphy or brush lettering out before, this class will be a great refresher and hopefully a chance to try some new supplies from our beginner kit that will re-introduce you into this lovely form of art!
A note on bringing guests 16 and under: We love to share this passion with kids. You are welcome to get a ticket for your child as long as you are comfortable with people around them having a drink or two. We do ask that anyone under the age of 16 is to be accompanied by a ticketed adult at all times.
